Este 16 de enero se vivió una instancia emotiva y llena de buena música en The Forum de Los Ángeles. La figura de Chris Cornell demostró que sigue viva en sus compañeros a casi dos años de su partida. Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Alain Johannes, Tom Morello, Metallica y Buzz Osborne (The Melvins) fueron algunos de los artistas que dieron vida al tributo «I Am the Highway».
Un evento que se anunció en noviembre pasado, cuando Vicky -esposa de Cornell- afirmó que se estaba preparando este momento que buscaría «rendir homenaje y mostrar el amor y aprecio por Chris, su música y la marca que dejó en el mundo”.
Así se comenzaron a sumar bandas y artistas a esta emotiva instancia que recibió el nombre «I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell» y sería liderada por Audioslave, Temple Of The Dog y por supuesto Soundgarden. Este miércoles por la noche se hizo realidad y miles de fanáticos disfrutaron del legado que dejó el cantante nacido en Seattle.
